Default Epsom Salts?

Hi, firstly I want to thank all that suggested Epsom Salts worked like a charm and am proud to say got an excellent crop out. My question is....if you give your plants Epsom Salts, or Baking Soda and the problem is something other than block out can you hurt your plants? or... can I just give Epsom Salts on a monthly basis as a preventative against block out??

Only down side I've seen is that with repeated use, they can lower your pH. But using them on a monthly basis wouldn't be enough to cause that effect. They don't prevent lock out, per se, but provide magnesium which facilitates the uptake of calcium. Calcium deficiencies are probably the most common ones seen when growing MJ.

Good to keep both around. Epson salts can be used as a foliar spray also, 1 teaspoon per quart of pHed water if memory serves me.

cal mag offers calcium and epsom salts offers sulphur
that is tha main dif so it depends on what you need
also you can buy damn near a truckload of epsom salt for the price of some calmag if magnesium is all you need
also some stages plants need more mag than cal so it is a toss up
and of course you can get epsom salts at any local grocery store or drug strore so it is easier to come by other than the internet
