my question is i have a 1000w hps/mh and i stuffed 30 plants under it last time around. they grew pretty good but i waited to long to flower and they kinda got to tall for my room forcing me to tie them over. Any way i think i utilized a 6'x5' footprint. Is this pushing the envolope? should down size the garden, less plants? would this be more efficient and yeild more in a general perspective( not focusing on style or nutes etc. when growing)?

The more room a plant has the bigger it will grow. It can receive more light and air.

Yup, you probably had a forest so dense light could not penetrate. Either force flower sooner or go to less plants. If you are doing sog use clones and just force flower as soon as they root in.

Question:

Im using:
1 24inch cool white, and 1 24inchwide spectrum flourescant lights T-12's...

Also beside the two above i have two 2 flourescant bulbs of a smaller diamter that are also also 24inchs long, they were a high blue/purple on the light chart that came with them...

My question is, did i supply enough information? And do i have too much of one light colour?? If its worth anything my branches are kinda turnin a bit purple, and i think it might have to do with the light

thanks

you need to purchase flour. lamps that are made for growing. Go to Worms way on line and check it out. They have lamps for veg and lamps for bloom.

What do you use in your grow to supplement UV light?

I have heard folks saying this many times on the net and agree that supplementing hps with other lights such as led, mh, florou is great and if one could properly utlize UV that would be great. Problem is that UV (most use reptile lights) are exceptionally hot for one and they will cook the plants with the UV if not regulated very closely. I do not ever reccomend such to a novice grower as they will most likely just fuck it all up trying.
