Can anyone recommend an anti depressant that is safe and or effective to take while also smoking marijuana?

anti depressants dont really make anything more special when u smoke, but my welbutrin does. If you dont have a prescribed dose, or you've never taken any before, it will definetly make you feel mystical.

take 150-300 mgs.

Yo I think I can help you out here, i'm a molecular biologist so im pretty well versed on the pharmacological mechanisms, however they work in very different ways. So i'd need to know what your takin it for? Basically if smokin bud makes you depressed you should NOT smoke it. Weed causes a release of large amount of dopamine, in certain susceptible individuals the breakdown of these large quantities of dopamine can be downregulated starting a chain of events leading to onset of irreversible schizophrenia, even after years of smoking, the affect can come on as suddenly as over a few weeks. Basically im not trying to be a hypocrit by saying don't smoke bud, just if bud makes you depressed thats a warning sign.

On the other hand, if your looking to enhance the effects, there is a fair number of options, and too many to be listed now if thats not your intention, and what kind of enhancement would you prefer.. eg mysitcal, euphoric, downright fubar'd, anyways like i said, can help withmore info and im gonna skin so cant be assed typing futher....

I can only share my own recent experience. I am currently seeing a therapist (and of the psychiatrist for meds) for the treatment of depression and post traumatic syndrome. Anyway I was honest with them and copped to the use of recreational drugs (bud is the drug of choice for 40 yrs) anyway he gave me "Pexeva" which is a new age Paxil. Hope this helps .Just remember what works for one person may not work for another and after a while you'll need to play with different things .Good Luck :)

I am not sure but I have heard that varenicline is most effective anti depressant than others. It contains no nicotine but works on the same receptors as nicotine. And it's the addiction to nicotine inhaled from smoking that makes quitting so hard.
