harvest time?

All of the leaves on my friend's plants are turning yellow, more so on the
plant with the most bud. Does this indicate that buds should be clipped (he
doesn't want the plant to die or become unhealthy)? Could this also be
caused by light proximity? He has a 150 watt HPS about a foot from the
plant. Should some of the leaves be clipped or what?
