Second time growing, but on a bigger scale

my friend is letting me use his spare room to try my hand at growing. im trying to come up with a list of all the things ill need to get started. so far i've come up with a container to plant in, soil, fertilizer, and flourescent lights. later on im going to get rooting solution for propagating my best plants. if you can think of anything else, and reccomend a good fertilizer, it would be appreciated.

This is no fertilizer. If you are going "big" make sure the place is wired well enough to carry the extra load. A few mo.s ago in L.A. a guy went "big" and burned down the house.

-For fertilizer i use General Hydroponics Flora Series Nutrients with Diamond Nectar, it's great. You also might want to pick up some perlite to add to your soil, this will help with water drainage. I would also really consider investing in a HPS for flowering you will have much better results. http://www.htgsupply.com/ has an awesome 400w hps setup, with a blue spec enhanced hps bulb and a reflector, which will do from start to finish, it costs 119.95.

Well first the most important thing is lighting. Here is a FAQ from a site I post on a lot.

For soil, get organic with the nutrients in it already. I've been told by an old medical grower that this stuff called CanaCoco is really good. You can get it in slabs or in a bag. Google it to find the stuff, or your local hydroponics shop should have it. It's specifically made for weed. The only fertilizer you can use with it is the fertilizter from the same company. If you are growing from seed don't put the seed in a big pot if you don't have to. You don't want the roots to expand a lot. Always keep it in an area sutiable to it's size.

You nailed it on the head, it's not hard to read and retain info, that's exactly what I've done. I plan on growing, so I've gathered quite a bit of information for when I do grow.

u know what kind of strain youre gonna go with? i got a couple haze special and couple lowryder goin..i got some female ice though that im gonna do next

Not sure. I want to do some outdoor and some indoor. I'll probably grow some of my favourite strains, which are all white strains. But I've seen some cross breeds on the internet that sound so sick. I know the owner of a seed site, www.pottysworld.net and he will be produing some chronic strains I might get.

White Rhino. I've had Rhino, Widow, AK 47 is a white strain, and the best weed I've ever got was some weed completely covered in white crystals.

i was thinkning about gettin some rhino only cuz everyone says it has the highest thc, figured id try it but they probly wouldnt even be opened for like 6 months so i think i can wait

The 2 strains with the highest amount of THC are White Russian and Hash Plant, both at roughly 33%. White Rhino and Widow top at maybe 20%. But this is grown very well, and if all strains were grown in the exact same conitions. Like if you grow Hash Plant in shit conditions it will be worse then mids.

AK has a lot of phenos. They are all killer, but not all were white. There was one white one (dried almost colorless), we called it 'Da SugarBud' , 'Moonbud', 'The Crustacean'. Very dense (literally 1/3 heaver than the other bud), fast finish (fastest of all the phenos), awesome smooth taste, but overall low yielder.

AK won 2nd place at C Cup for Sativa and Indica (diff years). I've tried W Rhino and it was very nice.
