I found my dad's stash...what should i do?

I recently found my dad's stash of weed in my freezer..in the garage. I am wondering if i should talk to him about it, or keep it to myself. I am not sure how much he has, but i was pretty shocked when i found it. I dont smoke myself....not because i opppose it...but because i go to a catholic christian school...which runs drugs tests on a regular basis. I have smoked a few times...but i am still a little nervous when it comes to weed. The whole idea that it is a drug...and that u are doin drugs when i smoke gets to me. I am really not in the mood for a long.....very awkward conversation with my father.....what should i do?

It's your freezer and I'm assuming it's your garage and house too. The stash obviously bothers you and you don't have to put up with something you are not comfortable with. Not talking about it will only put a strain in your relationship. Best talk to him and explain that you are not opposed to what he is doing but you are not comfortable with some weed around.

I kno its not medicinal....because (i dont know the medical condition that marijuana is used to treat.) my dad doesnt have that medical problem. And i checked tonite (or today) and he has got more of it. And this new baggy is full of really big buds and smells fresh. (the reason i said fresh because i think that my dad puts parsley in the bag so if i ever did find it i would think its a "cooking herb".....but now im at the point where i can recognize it and definatley identify it. ) I don't really think that it is putting a strain on our relationship. Its definatly not helping....but doing no harm. But i am still thinking about bringing the topic up to him when he is in one of his "tipsy" moods. Cuz i kno that it wont be as awkward because i have awkward talks when he is sober.....they sucked really really really bad. And i have had talks to him when he has been not so sober and the talks have not been so awkward just because of his calm and very sleepy mood. IDk yet. I think it is midly funny because my aunt and uncle live in florida......a few minutes down the road......and they were telling a story about a guy in a city near by who was high and was driving on the interstate with a car load of marijuana plants sticking in clear view of everyone, even the police, and he had this look on his face like.....ahhhhh high times. And i chuckled to myself. But it still is a very debateable issue and i really need help with this so please help!

So why would god invest time in making a plant with no real purpose but to be smoked and enjoyed. You would more lable DRUGS as sythetics. people like me? uhh....last last time i checked the purpose of abiding by the laws was not to get into trouble with them. so the reason i didnt wanna smoke in the first place was to NOT GET INTO TROUBLE. Now, I do think that weed should be legalized. And the school i go to is a little "gay" at times but nevertheless all of myfriends go there, and i dont go there to have my life filled with the LORD!! It's just a college prep school. And im not a bible beating catholic. I have faith that there is a God, created mankind, and put natural things on this earth for us to enjoy. weed being one of them.

Seriously, this is an interesting situation.. first of all, you should open up the situation a little. Your dad smokes weed. That's awesome, I wish my dad still smoked. There's nothing wrong with smoking weed, as you've seemed to have learned since you posted this, so why should you feel uncomfortable towards the idea that he smokes? How old are you, before I continue? Depending on your age.. if you're under 18 I'd say keep this knowledge a secret until you're older. If you're over 18~ you should probably engage. It won't be awkward if you're cool about it.. just walk out and catch him in the act one night, but have a joint or bowl handy. Say "holy shit, I was coming out here to smoke and look what I have found!" Then maybe you can light up with him, or just bring it up one night casually. If he knows you also smoke or are interested, it will be 100% less awkward. Good luck!
