I was thinking of adding a calculator to my web-site so people could figure
out their usage. Does anybody have any idea what the mathematics are?

1 kilowatt hour is what a 1000w bulb burns every hour,
on my electricity bill they charge me by my kilowatt hour total usage,, i
remember when i did the math it was 6 cents per kilowatt hour of usage.
2 x 1000w bulbs on a 12 hour bud cycle costs approx 30 bucks a month in
Canada,, more for 18 hour veg cycle .

Thanks Bob,
I'll get to work on this in the near future and let people know when it's
ready.

The formula is.....
lighting watts X hours used per day X 30 days per month / 1000 X cost per
KWH = monthly energy cost to operate
Or put another way.......
lighting watts
times
hours per day (= watt hours)
times
30 days per month
divided by
1000 (= Kilo Watt Hour)
times
cost per KWH
=
monthly energy cost to operate
I strongly suggest you go the adpcfaq link in my sig, page down to the
Lights section, and click on the 2nd link there.
